Cockroaches
Cockroaches are probably the most common insects that you can find lurking in the walls and recesses of many urban homes, apartments, buildings and basically everywhere else. Cockroach infestation in cities has become so widespread that there are perhaps millions and millions of them scattered everywhere – it is not uncommon to see hundreds of these dead in one apartment after a pest control treatment.
Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are another batch of insects that have made their way to causing much inconvenience to city residents. However, it is not only in suburban homes and apartments that these insects have inconspicuously attacked, but other city buildings like hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, and even in cruise ships, trains, and planes and everywhere else they find comfy. Bed bugs are pretty difficult to control, because they can be travel easily by attaching themselves to luggage – and soon that bed bug which caught a ride in your backpack during the commute home will be resting well on your couch and bed.
House Fly
These insects are a common sight not only in city homes but basically where there is food and garbage – just take a look at the dumpster behind the restaurant or the garbage can in the cafeteria and you will see one hovering above it, honing in on the discarded food below. Not only are flies annoying, they can also be dangerous as they are known to be carriers of diseases and bacteria (not to mention remnants of fecal matter that stuck to their legs – imagine that landing on your food!)
Termites
Termites are probably the biggest culprits when it comes to destroying homes and buildings in the city – living as deep underground and eating away the buildings foundation. With various colonies with millions of members, these termites can literally bring a whole building down – one bite at a time – making them one of the most wanted urban insects in the list of many pest control companies.
