Winter is the time of year when people like to move indoors; and pests like to move with us! When you’re comfortable, bugs are comfortable. Our best advice is this: set up preventative measures now. Here are some suggestions that will truly curtail invasions next summer. If you don’t have the time or equipment to take care of them, we’ll be happy to come out and do it for you!
- Place tight-fitting weather-stripping along the bottom of all doors.
- Place ¼ inch hardware cloth over all vents, top to bottom, attic to foundation.
- Install insect screening over windows, utility vents, and other areas where small pests can slip in.
- Seal up holes or cracks in you homes exterior; if you have a large opening, it should be stuffed with steel wool or wire mesh before sealing it with cloth.
